The Marin Community Foundation has recently awarded downtown Novato Theater a total of $25,000 in grants for the theater's renovation projects.
Along with the grant, the theater has raised $650,000 towards the estimated $1.4 million renovation costs for the demolition and construction of the building. An amount of $3 million is still required to construct a new theater on the Grant Avenue theater site.
