Twenty-one local businesses have entered their chili in the first ever First Interstate Bank Lead-Deadwood Community Foundation Chili Feed Fundraiser to compete for a People's Choice Award for the best tasting chili.
Organizer Jerry Apa of Lead said said that the chili feed is among the foundation board's efforts to raise $50,000 to match First Interstate Bank's pledge of $50,000 to the foundation over five years.
