Moving Women to Give Millions

Women are quite often overlooked as key leaders in the world of philanthropy and non-profit organizations. Jacki Zehner is the chief engagement officer for an organization called Women Moving Millions that wants to change that. Ms. Zehner explains that the Women Moving Millions' vision is creating a community for primarily women, inclusive of men, who have an interest in addressing women's issues and causes and want to broaden their philanthropic reach.

To this end, the organization is heavily involved with leadership development: knowledge, commitment and expertise education and training for female philanthropists.

There are four primary development areas.

• Financial engagement - understanding how financial resources are being used and invested.
  
• Voice and influence - developing media skills: written, oral and interview.
  
• Philanthropic strategy - the 'how to' of being a good donor
  
• Self-awareness and self-care
