Christopher Johnson, through an $18,500 grant through the Grammy Foundation will be conducting a study on the effects of music in the K-12 educational environment.

Due to costs of music program many have been cut throughout the United States. Officials have noted that studies are not conclusive enough to support their need within school systems.

This study is being conducted by the University of Kansas. They hope their efforts can impact the community and hopefully the world.
