The Community Foundation of North Central Washington has awarded a $20,000 grant to Winthrop Kiwanis. The grant will help support a program designed to improve opportunities for students in the district's Independent Learning Center (ILC).
The grant will also enable the Community Foundation to establish partnership with the Methow Valley School District to launch the program, "Be the Change", which will financially support service club projects that help low-income families break from the cycle of poverty.
