Literacy Efforts Receive Grant Boost In District 15

In the Community Consolidated School District 15, young students are getting new books in their classroom libraries, and Latino families are getting a new location for a program to help them get involved in their children's learning.

The Palatine Rotary Club awarded the District 15 Educational Foundation $1,000 for the books, and $10,400 from the foundation allowed the Latino Family Literacy Project to operate at the Palatine Opportunity Center. The Latino Family Literacy Project aims to boost parents' involvement in their children's education
