Ronald E. Ancrum has resigned as president of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts after three years as he is most of the time away from his family. Kent W. Farber, who was president of the Foundation before Ancram was hired and will step in an in interim basis.

The Community Foundation has about $120 million in assets under management and awards about $8 million a year in scholarships and grants. Last year, the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts put $250,000 toward tornado relief.
