Researcher Turns To Crowdfunding To Lead Effort In Tackling Ebola Cure

A California research center scientist turned to the popular crowdfunding site, CrowdRise, to lead global effort in hunting a cure for the Ebola virus.

As financial resources are tight, Erica Ollmann Saphire of the LaJolla-based Scripps Research Institute is racing against time and looking to raise $100,000 to test a combination of antibodies that will suppress and treat Ebola.
