A $50,000 Challenge Grant to Install Surveillance Cameras

The La Crosse Community Foundation board has recently approved a $50,000 challenge grant which will get the Safe-Cam surveillance fund drive to install 41 security cameras downtown back on its track.

The approval is based on the fact that the project "has terrific support from diverse groups." The Foundation settled for a challenge grant in part to give fundraisers encouragement to reinforce their efforts.
