In December, the executive director of the Community Health Foundation of Greater Petaluma announced that despite the difficult financial climate, she hoped that it would award $125,000 in grants to non-profit organizations in 2010.
Lo and behold, on April 22, the CHF awarded a combined total of $125,550 to 17 local organizations at its second annual community celebration, at the Petaluma Woman's Club.
"It was an absolutely fabulous event," said Marilyn Segal, the CHF's executive director. "It is my single favorite day of my work year because it brings together leaders of the non-profit community. They get to share their projects, and are filled with pride."
