The 10x process is a new technology investment fund program offered by the Technology Transformation Services (TTS) office at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
The 10x process funds new ideas to help the federal government deliver better products and services.
It is modeled after modern venture capital practices that employ small investments and designed to spend less taxpayer dollars while ensuring funds for the best products and services.
There are four key phases that a project could progress through: investigation, discovery, development, and scale. Project teams either justify continued investment or recommend that the work stop at the end of each phase.
Applicants can submit an idea to 10x through the GSA website. Anyone in the federal government is invited to submit project ideas to 10x. The next deadline for submitting an idea is July 30, 2019. Submissions will be evaluated in early August.
