George Latham, Managing Partner, at WHEB Asset Management, investment manager of the Pengana WHEB Sustainable Impact Fund, sits down in an exclusive video and talks about why impact investing is a genuine strategy for generating long-term returns.

WHEB have developed a methodology to measure the environmental and social impact of their investments.

Latham discusses the latest WHEB Impact Report, and shows examples of how to measure the carbon emissions linked with an investment portfolio and stresses its importance.

He also explains in the video the reason why so many investors find it difficult to address the challenge that sustainable investing presents to the investment community is because too many investor strategies are run on a shorter-term basis.

Latham adds that what separate traders from investors is the long-term investment time horizon by impact investors. In that context the transition to a more sustainable economy, the growth opportunity of companies, the benefits of investing in higher quality businesses generate positive investment returns for the long haul.
