Haydon Burns Library building is being purchased by the trustees of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund. The former library is planned to be a new location for a philanthropic and nonprofit center.
Terms of the purchase are not being revealed, however. The trustees reviewed the building's condition and the feasibility of the proposed conversion. The project's main purpose is to create a center that will house a variety of nonprofit organizations.
