The Foundation for Excellence in Education awarded $13,600 to educators in the Athens' public schools and teachers at nine schools, plus the Office of Nursing in the district, will share $14,000 in grants for fund innovative learning projects.
The recipients include: Timothy Stoudenmire with the Dr. Walter Allen, Sr. Excellence in Teaching Award; Stephen-Robert Castile received the Frusanna S. Booth Award for Teachers in English and Language Arts; Pamela Garcia get the Charlotte Brown Award for Teachers of Special Education and many others.
