The Permian Basin Area Foundation presented a total of $556,374 in grants, with $468,450 of that being from the foundation's semi-annual competitive grant cycle was awarded to 38 area nonprofit agencies.
Seven more organizations were awarded $87,924 in funding from the Dollie Ruth Neal Education Fund and committee member Carol Durham said that the purpose of this fund is to provide education opportunities that will enable single mothers to become self-sufficient.
