Education Foundation of South Brunswick Township Awards Grants and Scholarships

The Education Foundation of South Brunswick Township has awarded various grants amounting to a more than $10,000. The foundation awarded more than $5,200 in grants in spring 2011 and more than $7,300 for the 2011-12 school year. In addition, the foundation distributed two $2,500 scholarships to graduating South Brunswick High School students on June 14.
The goal of the Education Foundation is to spark innovation in the schools and to give teachers an opportunity to put their creative ideas to work in the classroom. The grants were used to fund projects such as a healthy living program, sensory kits, purchasing of portable pocket projectors as well as establishment of an elementary school leadership initiative.
