Sophia City Police and Coal City Volunteer Fire Department receives grant from Beckley Area Foundation

Sophia City Police and Coal City Volunteer Fire Department have been awarded a grant from the Beckley Area Foundation.
The grant in the amount of $1,200 allowed the Coal City Volunteer Fire Department to purchase 13 helmet lights, now outfitting all 23 active members with this essential equipment. On the other hand, the grant amounting to $3,200 was used by the Sophia City Police purchase of in-car cameras to install in police cruisers.
