The Community Foundation of Central Illinois has awarded $72,000 in grant money to 23 area organizations with the goal to improve the community in innovative and diverse ways, said Mark Roberts, CEO of the Community Foundation.
Mental Health America of Illinois Valley received more than $8,000 which will help fund programs to educate the community about signs and symptoms of depression, including training for employees and educational programs for middle school children.
