Springbank Students Win Youth Philanthropy Contest

Springbank Middle School students Madison Michiels, Keely Anderson and Alexa Toews won Brett Wilson's HEROES Give Back, an online competition that awards a team of Calgary and area youth ages 12 to 18 that are making a difference in their community.

Winning the online contest was just icing on the cake for the girls, who also recently competed at Destination ImagiNation provincials, winning second place and the Torch Bearer award, given to the team that has impacted the most change in their community for their partnership with Easter Seals Camp Horizon.
