New Canadian Platform for Impact Investing

Investing in the improvement of making social or environmental impact has been made easier due to updates in the ethical investment platform by the Social Venture Connexion. SVX, a registered exempt market dealer in of the country's four largest provinces and non-profit organization is now enabling Canadians to invest for positive impact.

Supported by the TMX, Spence, founder and chief executive of SVX, stated there is a great amount of potential offered for individuals and communities.

SVX is the only market dealer in Canada that aims to offer investment opportunities for those that strive to do social and environmental good in addition to profits. The new platform allows SVX to operate nationally and facilitating financial transactions.

The First Nations Bank, founded in 1996, is hoping to raise $2 million from using the social impact investors. The bank is hoping to raise about $7 million of equity.
