The Salvation Army on West Dominick Street has received two grants totaling $8,204 from the Rome Community Foundation to be used for a new freezer and refrigerator, paint and tile repair and to purchase folding tables, stackable chairs and a table caddy.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization that accepts gifts and bequests to be held, invested, and administered permanently. Investments are managed to provide a growing source of income to make grants to community organizations.
