The Difference Between Philanthropy and Social Responsibility

Recent talks have been made about the differences between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Philanthropy.

Some said that Corporate Philanthropy refers to the act of donating a portion of a company's profits to charitable causes without expecting to benefit from it while CSR focuses more on the operation of a business in a manner that would exceed ethical, legal, commercial and public expectations.
