Capital Region Community Foundation grants $20,000 to United Way

The Capital Region Community Foundation recently presented the Capital Area United with a $20,000 proactive grant to support 2-1-1 services in the tri-county area. Central Michigan 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember, free service that links people with the human services information they need.

By dialing 2-1-1, callers are connected with an information referral specialist who can discuss the caller's needs and give them information on a wide variety of services available, from basic needs such as rent and utility assistance to health services and family services.
