$1 Million for the Center for Investigative Reporting

The Center for Investigative Reporting won a $1 million grant from the MacArthur Foundation because of their contribution to the community through high-impact stories.

Executives at the Center for Investigative Reporting said the grant to will be utilized to "create a venture fund for new projects, strengthen its fundraising capacity, upgrade its technology infrastructure, and establish a reserve fund for legal defense".
