Grants from Patricia A. Embree Trust No. 1

The Patricia A. Embree Trust No. 1 has generously donated $1,000,000 to the Colby Community College Foundation and $370,000 to the Thomas County Community Foundation.

According to Nick Wells, executive director of the Colby Community College Foundation, the funds will be utilized for academic enhancement, hiring and retaining master teachers of stature and for continued support of the Max Pickerill Lecture Series.

Meanwhile, the funds received by the Thomas County Community Foundation has been used to constitute the Patricia A. Embree Trust Fund that is specifically tailored to assist in providing charitable, educational, literary and/or cultural entities and programs in Thomas County.
