Chicago's Impact Engine Raises $10M Impact Investment Fund

credit: PRWeb

Impact Engine is a venture capital fund that is investing between 25,000 and 250,000 dollars in tech companies in Chicago. The investments are weighted towards early stage tech companies that will make a difference to the entrepreneurial climate of the midwest, particularly businesses owned by women.

Impact Engine has 10 million dollars with which to support and scale early stage tech companies. It is the first investment fund of its kind, led by CEO Jessica Droste Yagan and chief investment officer Tasha Seitz, and focused on bringing financial and human capital to the new tech companies that are likely to have the most promising impact on the technological and entrepreneurial community.

Venture capitals, accelerators, and outside support systems like Impact Engine are vital to the operation of early stage businesses, and can help them raise capital, develop strategies and offer guidance. It makes them the focus of the entrepreneurial community and changes the way they interact with the business community, both locally and globally.
