Phila. arts organizations get $807K in federal funding

Due to a national award program, amounting over 82 million dollars, there is a federal agency offering nearly a million dollars to thirty three Philadelphia organizations that focus on arts and culture. The national program is the National Endowment for the Arts.

The grants and awards have gone out to many organizations throughout the country, and Philadelphia organizations obtains over $800k of those funds.These grants show the federal involvement and investment in art and cultural programs that are of quality. These grant recipients will end of benefiting many, if not all of the Philadelphia communities their recipients reside in.
