Erica Bryant: Who wants to win $100000?

Sister Christine Wagner, a devoted neighborhood health outreach church worker at St. Joseph's church, recently was the recipient of a $100,000 Social Entrepreneurship Award for her efforts at providing health care for those too poor to afford it.

Sister Wagner was taken by surprise in reference to the award, as she was so engrossed in her work that she had no idea she was even being considered for the prize. Her health center screens those who need care by triaging them according to need and ability to pay, and then attempts to connect them with low cost or free options, as well as assisting them with their record keeping.

Sister Wagner thanked the organizers of the award, the Farash Foundation, for recognizing the church's hard work in its community and for being a "bleeding edge" organization. The publicity has only helped Sister Wagner's outreach efforts.
