Foundation gets $1 million donation for kids

North Valley Community Foundation has launched a Children's Endowment Fund in order to provide grants trough the Youth Development Grant Program. Grants valuing from anywhere from twenty five hundred to ten thousand dollars will be awarded to organizations which must show that they are benefiting children at need, but the number is insignificant so long as the applicants demonstrate beneficial outcomes. Those awarded are expected to attend meetings in order to have conversations about the issues that the children face.

The fund was created in thanks to a donation in the sum of one million dollars from an anonymous source. The ultimate goal is to raised ten million over the next few years, matching the contribution already made with community donors. Funds will go mostly to nonprofits, but others do have the opportunity to apply.
