Helping Homeless Veterans in Snohomish County

In Snohomish County Washington, the Department of Human Services is committed to helping their citizens meet their basic living needs. Recently, the department was awarded two grants totaling 400,000 that they intend on using to assist their homeless veterans and other families find homes in the area.

The county even has a Veteran Homelessness Committee that is comprised of many local and state organizations that provide emergency financial aid to honorably discharged veterans and their families. They all share the goal of keeping a roof over the heads of their veterans. Their attempt is to give access to the veterans with as little barriers as possible. This is their way of giving back to the men and women who served this country.
